China, Qing-Dynastie.
Bronze, partly gilt and with age-related green patina; rounded, bulbous form; the body encircled in two registers with stylized archaic dragons in shallow relief. On the sides two movable rings attached to demon-mask mounts. The round neck engraved with deeply incised characters, widening to a large opening fitted with a matching lid; the surface decorated with a dragon meander and three applied carrying loops; set on a high foot ring.

Bronze with dark patina and partial gilding; rare tantric offering vessel in the form of a human skull, with deeply set eyes decorated with garlands. The lid is crowned with mantras. Set on a base whose feet are formed by mythical creatures and decorated with encircling garlands.

Rare Tibetan thangka container in copper, decorated with the Eight Buddhist Auspicious Symbols; the divided panels showing mantras, sound or word symbols, and the Kalachakra emblem. Three-part construction, opening and sliding into one another, connected by small chains. Set with individual mounted decorative stones. Age-related signs of use, slightly dented. Height: 63 cm; diameter: 6.5 cm.
